I have sympathies with flop financers: Shamoon Abbasi

Author:

Actor and filmmaker Shamoon Abbasi is not calm about the situation of cinema in Pakistan.

His recent Tweets are filled with rage and anger on “Financers” whom he has referred to as “Flop Financers”.

The actor claimed that the audience isn’t interested in how much a financer spent in the ghagra choli of the heroine or the props, but story.

It seems that he has recently seen the current films that are in cinemas because he has been referring some female financers indirectly and fans think it is about Momina Duraid.

He has always been vocal about the deteriorating situation of cinema. His film ‘Durj’ is going to hit cinemas soon, which is about cannibalism in which he’s starring opposite Sherry Shah. The film seems to have a different storyline. He’s also coming in a comic film ‘Come on Abhinandan’, in which he’s playing Indian air force officer Abhinandan Varthaman’s character.

Here are his tweets.

I have sympathies with the financiers of the masala flops that were produced this year and brought down the over all business 80% from the 2018.

And then the audacity to defends their crap is amazing

Wake up and start living with the nation leave your comfort couches!!

No audience in Pakistan is ever interested in how much is being spent on a ghagra choli set, the only thing they are asking repeatedly is a good story No matter its filmed on a donkey or a dog just come out of the balloons of fakeness and start focusing on national entertainment!

Brilliant confusion: women producing Pakistani films with naked heroes to show to homely ladies, house wives, college and school going girls,

And we Talk about our national criterions as

Anything for money right?!

“It’s sad to say but the current mindset of the film industry of Pakistan is going to bring a lot of loss in the future if new student level filmmakers and new writers aren’t introduced. It’s time for a change in the narrative of the entertainment industry,” Shamoon Abbasi Tweeted.
