LAHORE: A 30-year-old man was electrocuted when he tried to catch a stray kite in Shahbagh area of the provincial capital on Wednesday.
The injured was taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to injuries. Despite a strict ban on kite flying and one-wheeling, city police and other departments concerned have completely failed to overcome the kite flying and one-wheeling in the provincial metropolis during Eid holidays. Meanwhile, the City police claimed to have arrested 18 wheelers and kite fliers. However, sources said that kite flying was observed in different areas of the city, including, Badami Bagh, Shahdara Town, Township, Green Town, Baghbanpura, Bund Road and others.
