Books on the Freedom Movement showcased at Lok Virsa

The National Institute of Folk & Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa), National History and Literary Heritage Division, celebrated the Independence Day of Pakistan by exhibiting books written by renowned writers on the Freedom Movement of Pakistan, at Lok Virsa Heritage Museum in a most befitting manner. A special ceremony was held which featured a number of live colourful performances including famous milli naghmas and kalam-e-Iqbal. Milli naghma “Main Bhi Pakistan Hun Tu Bhi Pakistan Hai”, kalam-e-Iqbal “Khudi ka sere nehan” presented on the occasion to pay tribute to Pakistan, Quaid-e-Azam, Allama Iqbal, Kashmiri brothers and sisters. Parliamentary Secretary for Federal Education & Professional Training Wajiha Akram was the chief guest at the occasion. Secretary, National History and Literary Heritage Division, Nadeem Shafqat Malik along with Senior Joint Secretary, Syed Hasnain Mehdi and Executive Director Lok Virsa, Anwar ul haq welcomed chief guest.
