COAS appreciates Rangers, war veterans at Sulemanki

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif visited Sulemanki Sector and spent his day with Army/Rangers troops and war veterans of the Sector on Saturday.

While interacting with them General Sharif said that Pakistan Army proudly carries its heritage and tradition of soldiering and chivalry. Taking inspiration from our war heroes and their spirit of sacrifice, Pakistan Army has always measured upto any challenge.

With an unprecedented level of successes in war against terror, we have become the most battle hardened army and are equally ready for conventional war. He specially appreciated the highest state of morale of troops and best form of vigilance along LoC, working boundary and international border.

The army chief laid a floral wreath at the monument of Major Shabbir Sharif Shaheed and paid rich tributes to our Shuhada and Ghazis for fighting bravely and rendering supreme sacrifice in defence of the motherland.

Earlier, on arrival at Sulemanki, COAS was received by Corps Commander Lahore, Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali, Lieutenant General Javaid Iqbal, Comd Bahawalpur Corps and Punjab Rangers Director General Maj Gen Umer Farooq Burki.
