KARACHI: Due to extreme hot weather thousands of people thronged seaside and many more rushed to the amusement parks located in parts of city on Eid days.

Acute hot and sunny weather could not deter people to come out of their homes. After spending two days at home Karachiites thronged the seaside in their expedition to make optimum of the holidays. People enjoyed during seaside picnic by spending time with their family and friends and many of them arranged Bar BQ parties.

Karachiites have very limited options for entertainment as only four amusement parks, Aladin, Sindbad, Chunky Monkey, GoAish amusement park and one Karachi Zoo serve more than 27.5 million people, which get crowded on Eid days. Unfortunately due to poor maintenance of many of the parks people could not optimize their experience.

Because of poor maintenance of parks, the Seaside remains the only option during the holidays for Karchiities. Large number of people reached at Clifton Fun Land near sea view due to crowd people were not able to enter on the eve of 2nd day Eid.

At Aladin Park and Karachi Zoo, people enjoyed with their families, especially children had great fun at Zoo. Spending day at parks or sea side the hunt started for a good eating outlet.

While talking to Daily Times a family viewed that due to lack of management their day was spoiled but still they enjoyed Eid.

Citizen had to face another ordeal of parking their vehicles as all the picnic spots fell short of capacity to accommodate Eid rush and long queues of vehicles were seen with owners impatiently waiting to find an appropriate place to park their vehicles.

Tahira Alam, a blogger said that Karachi is the most populous city in Pakistan and 6th most populous metropolitan city in the world but when the question of arrangements arises there is nothing as far as Eid celebration is concerned. “Karachiites are very lively and they know how to enjoy. No matter what government has done for us but as Pakistani we are spirited and having fun with our families”, she added. Due to shortage of transport many people were forced to visit only to small parks located nearby the residential and commercial areas to chill out.
