IRK Films is rocking the Internet these days since the phenomenal release of its film ‘Heer Maan Ja’, in association with Arif Lakhani Films, directed by Azfar Jafri and produced by Imran Raza Kazmi, Hareem Farooq and Arif Lakhani.

The movie stars Hareem Farooq as Heer and Ali Rehman Khan as Kabeer – the onscreen couple that has been loved and admired ever since their undeniable chemistry in Parchi was witnessed.

It’s only been three days since the film hit the big screens nationwide and it has already amassed business of more than Rs 2 crores in three days! While cinema houses all over the country are running houseful shows, the film has become the latest rage this Eid and is garnering massive appreciation from every corner!

Here are seven things that make ‘Heer Maan Ja’ a must-watch film!

IT IS NOT A STEREOTYPICAL ROM-COM — ‘Heer Maan Ja’ is a creative combination of emotions, wit, talent, thrill and exceptional filmmaking skills. It is a romantic comedy movie that does have a runaway bride touch to it – yet, it has proven to be unique in its own way. The plot gives a unique touch to the movie and makes it very non-stereotypical while making the movie stand out from rest of the rom-coms that simply revolve around the same love story. It is a fun-filled family movie with an underlying message that would make you think, while keeping you entertained at the same time.

It’s only been three days since the film hit the big screens nationwide and it has already amassed business of more than Rs 2 crores in three days! While cinema houses all over the country are running houseful shows, the film has become the latest rage this Eid and is garnering massive appreciation from
every corner!

IT FEATURES THE MOST ADORABLE ON-SCREEN COUPLE — the film features Ali Rehman Khan and Hareem Farooq in the lead with some exceptionally well-done romantic scenes that would make your heart melt, while also putting on display their funny, witty sides. The couple is a complete eye-candy, and you can’t stop staring at them while you’re watching ‘Heer Maan Ja’!

IT IS A ROM-COM, BUT IT IS ALSO ACTION PACKED MOVIE THAT WILL MAKE YOU GASP — unlike other movies where you are just screened to romance and drama and tears and what not, ‘Heer Maan Ja’ makes an exception. It is an action packed movie with some amazing fight scenes that have literally made the audience in the movie theatres gasp! The thrill can easily be felt the moment the Kabeer and Wajdaan get to have a go at each other. All fight scenes have been executed with finesse and did not look forceful, which is a huge improvement for the Pakistani film industry.

IT’S THE KIND OF MOVIE PEOPLE HAVE DESCRIBED AS “PAISA VASOOL” — you know how there are times when you would buy a movie ticket, in complete anticipation of having a good time and an escape for the everyday mundane things but then you end up spending 2 hours of pure torture because the movie isn’t worth a penny or is just too mentally disturbing? Well, ‘Heer Maan Ja’ is just the complete opposite! While at the theatre, you could hear giggles, laughter, gasps and awes time and again, on different occasions and not a single soul left the cinema until all the credits rolled on the screen! It’s being called a ‘paisa vasool’ film because it’s worth the money, the time and the effort for sure!

AESTHETICALLY PLEASING SONGS AND SPOT ON CHOREOGRAPHY — one of the most difficult parts of the movie for our industry has to be the choreography associated with the songs. We have come a long way from where we were once but to be honest, there is always a lack of that zeal or creativity when it comes to our dance moves. Addi Maar and Heer Maan Ja’s title track have both been a huge surprise in that regard! Osman Khalid Butt has put his best work forward with these moves in these songs and you can’t help but want to emulate them. Heer Maan Ja has four songs in total, but each song is perfect in its own genre.

TWITTER IS FLOODED WITH MASSIVE APPRECIATION FOR THE MOVIE! — once public appreciation starts pouring in for a project, that’s when you know things have gone right and that’s exactly what Heer Maan Ja has garnered since its release. Twitter is flooded with praises for the performances, songs and execution of all the scenes and the script in the movie. People have shared videos from theatres, of people laughing and many have recommended it to their friends. The masses are claiming Heer Maan Ja as a blockbuster movie and from the looks of it, we are sure it is.

CAMEOS! AAMINA SHEIKH’S DAREDEVIL LOOK WOULD MAKE YOUR HEART SKIP A BEAT — they’ve got a fantastic cast in the movie that’s bound to keep your eyes glued to the screen, but add to that the fact that there are multiple cameo appearances of some of our favourite stars – and you know you’ll fall in love with it! When the trailer of Heer Maan Ja was released, we saw a new avatar of Aamina Sheikh, in black-kohl eyes and golden wings, that completely stunned everyone. But to see Aamina Sheikh in the movie playing a typical misogynist antagonist has been amazing to see. Abid Ali and Mikaal Zulfiqar can also be seen making an appearance in the film and their cameos make it all the more special to watch.

Go watch ‘Heer Maan Ja’ if you too want to enjoy a family oriented fun filled film that is packed with emotions, drama, comedy and much needed action.
