‘All eyes pinned on SC in Panama case’

Author: Staff Report

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League (PML) senior leader and former deputy premier Ch Parvez Elahi has said that all hopes of the nation were pinned on the Supreme Court, adding that the coming month was crucial for the country’s future. He said this while talking to media after condoling with Ali Bader and Jahanzaib Bader, sons of senior Pakistan People’s Party stalwart late Jahangir Bader.  He said no country would come to rescue the incompetent leaders, adding that people were earnestly praying for the departure of corrupt rulers. He said that Sharifs are in power in the Punjab for last 35 years but they have done nothing that could work in their favour. Elahi admitted that the opposition parties were not on the same page as far as anti-rulers campaign was concerned, adding nothing would change unless the opposition parties get united against the rulers. However, he said his party would continue its efforts to unity all opposition parties. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has produced same ToRs in the Supreme Court, which were formulated unanimously by the opposition. Paying tributes to Jahangir Badar, Elahi said that he talked straight, was a good man and experienced politician. He said Bader’s services for his party could not be forgotten, as he stood by the leadership through thick and thin.
