Lahore observes Black Day against Indian atrocities in IHK

A large number of people participated in the “Kashmir Solidarity Rally” carried out on The Mall under the leadership of Punjab Governor Ch Mohammad Sarwar and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.

Slogans like ‘Kashmir will become Pakistan’, ‘Kashmir is jugular vein of Pakistan’ and ‘India is terrorist’ were chanted by the participants of the rally. Participants were carrying black flags and the Kashmiri flag to condemn the atrocities by India in IHK.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Hurriyat leader Mushaal Hussein Mullick and provincial leadership of PML-Q, Pakistan Awami Tehreek, Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen and other religious and political parties was also present.

While addressing the rally, leaders said that even today Kashmir is the jugular vein of Pakistan and we are standing in support with them till the last drop of our blood. Issue of Kashmir will reach every forum including the Security Council and we will expose India’s plans in front of the whole world. According to the details, rally that commenced from Governor House Lahore to reach Punjab Assembly was led by Governor Punjab Ch Mohammad Sarwar and CM Punjab Usman Buzdar while Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, PTI Punjab President Ijaz Ahmed Ch, Kamil Ali Agha of PMLQ, Khuram Nawaz Gandapur of Awami Tehreek, Raja Nashir Abbass of MWM, Provincial Ministers, Members Parliament, workers and large numbers of general public participated in rally who were holding placards to show solidarity with Kashmiris and to condemn Indian atrocities.

Sarwar said that Narendra Modi is butcher of Gujrat who is now killing Kashmiris and no minority including Muslims are safe in India. He said that the Black Day is being observed against Indian atrocities and to show solidarity with Kashmiris today in the whole world. Governor Punjab further added that India can do anything but it will have to resolve Kashmir according to UN resolutions eventually, today people of Pakistan gave the message to India that we are standing with Kashmiris and we will not hold back from any sacrifice and InshAllah that day is not far when Kashmir will become Pakistan and Indian atrocities will end forever. He was of the view that he has contacted the British MPs regarding the brutality of Indian forces in Kashmir and they will also raise the issue in their parliament as well.

Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said that that the enthusiasm of the participants to show solidarity with Kashmiris against the atrocities of India on the occasion of the Black day is unprecedented. Today, there is only one slogan being chanted by every Pakistani and that is “Kashmir will become Pakistan”. From the past 70 years, India is trying to suppress the voice of Kashmiris by using hundreds of thousands of soldier’s gun and bullet but the enthusiasm of Kashmiris are still alive today. Chief Minister Usman Buzdar announced that in every district we will name a road as Kashmir Road and in every division a park will be named after Kashmir and every week we will hold symbolic protest over Kashmir issue.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the face of Narendra Modi is exposed in front of the world and after 50 years the case of Kashmir has reached the Security Council and we have told American representative that India is trying to divert the attention from the Afghan peace process. “I want to convey to all the political parties today that there is no time to do politics over this burning issue as we have to stand united with Kashmir so that the message is delivered to India and rest of the world that Kashmir issue has to be resolved according to UN resolutions and we are with Kashmiris,” foreign minister said.

Mushaal Mullick, wife of Kashmiri leader Yasin Malik, said that today our Kashmiri brother and sisters are burning and mountains of atrocities are being inflicted on them. India is making life difficult on Kashmiris and Indian army is killing innocent Kashmiris. It is need of the hour that UN and all international organizations stand and relieve Kashmiris of Indian atrocities, she said. She further added that our enthusiasm is Takbeer and the bond we share with Kashmiris is not only of blood but also of the soul. After the death of Burhan Wani, India imposed a curfew for 5 months, InshAllah that day is not far when Kashmir will be independent and Kashmiri people will get their right, she said.

Furthermore, doctors, nurses and senior professors of Mayo Hospital also carried a rally from hospital to The Mall to observe the Black Day against the atrocities of India in Kashmir. Meanwhile, several civil society organizations, minority leaders and women of PML-N also observed Black Day on The Mall and outside the Lahore Press Club.
