ISLAMABAD: States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Minister Lt Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch said that Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Raheel Sharif’s contribution in restoring peace in the country, through successful operations against terrorism, will be remembered forever.

Talking to the media outside the Parliament House he said that Pakistan was lucky to have such a brave and committed leader. “Terrorists have been wiped out of FATA due to the efforts of the COAS,” the minister said.

Replying to a question, he said that it does not matter who the next chief would be as the new one would have to follow the institution’s policy. Qadir also said that the media played an important role by supporting Raheel Sharif in the war against terrorism.
