LARKANA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Larkana, Kashif Ali, has abandoned the inquiry, which was ordered by the Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah to probe into the incident of a student allegedly tortured by his teacher at Cadet College, Larkana, on the ground that it has also been ordered by the GOC Pano Akil and a special medical board has been constituted by health department in this regard. The news of 13 and half year old Muhammad Ahmed son of Rashid Mashori has largely been highlighted in the press. DC told news men on Tuesday that an investigation is already underway hence his inquiry carries no weight. Rashid Mashori, father of the student, said that two of the member doctors of the special medical board constituted by the Government of Sindh, are out of country therefore, he is paying for the treatment of his son from his own pocket and urged the concerned authorities to immediately hold the meeting of the board. The student broke bones of his neck after being strangulated and suffered a paralytic attack due to which his left limb has become numb. The boy is under treatment in a Karachi hospital and has made no recovery since last three months, his father added. The incident took place on August 06, 2016, he said, when the college reopened after summer vacation and he was informed by station master, G. M. Bhatti that his son had suffered fits. He claimed that when he reached the college his son was covered with injuries on his face, chest, head, back and lower limbs.
