ISLAMABAD: Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has directed all deputy commissioners to pay restitution to the families of martyrs and victims of Indian aggression within 24 hours.

He has also released the amount for the purpose.

With the cooperation of the State Disaster Management Authority, tents, blankets and other necessary items would be given to victims of Indian firing under the supervision of Chief Secretary Sultan Sikandar Raja.

Meanwhile, AJK prime minister met AJK Legislative Assembly Speaker Shah Ghulam Qadir, Deputy Speaker Sardar Farooq Tahir, ministers Ch Tariq Farooq and Dr Najeeb Naqi on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, the prime minister said, “Pakistan is our hope and advocate in the world. The aim of our sacrifices and struggle is Pakistan. Indian firing at the Line of Control (LoC) can’t discourage our determination.”

He said Kashmiris were fighting the Indian atrocities with bravery and firm resolve, and there was no instance of their bravery in the world. He said Indian forces had been mentally defeated in front of the determination of Kashmir people.

“After failure in Held Kashmir, New Delhi is using unethical and illegal methods to pressure Pakistan to withdraw its moral support to Kashmiris,” he added. He criticised Indian government for worst kind of human rights abuses in the held valley and called for an immediate cessation to Indian atrocities.

He said India would be given a befitting response if it dared to wage a war against Pakistan. He also expressed sympathies with the families of the martyred army soldiers and civilians, and prayed for the departed souls.

Earlier, addressing an inaugural ceremony for the Ujala Technical Institute, the prime minister reiterated resolve to create more employment opportunities. He said the government would also develop tourism and power sectors to augment economic activities.

Education Minister Barrister Iftikhar Gillani and Minister for Women Development Raja Noreen Arif also addressed the ceremony.
