Mehreen Jabbar aims to set filmmaking and storytelling trends

LAHORE: The cast of upcoming movie ‘Dobara Phir Se’ held a press conference to interact with the media on Monday.

‘Dobara Phir Se’ Director Mehreen Jabbar was flanked by actors Shaz Khan, Hareem Farooq, Sanam Saeed and Tooba Siddiqui on the occasion.

Mehreen Jabbar, while addressing media, made it clear that ‘Dobara Phir Se’ was not like previous movies that were being made on the name of “revival of cinema”; rather the film aims to set filmmaking and storytelling trends in the country. “The dialogue and script are not inspired by any other movie and neither are any of the songs. We wanted the audience to experience something new,” she added.

Replying to a query, Jabbar expressed being extremely happy with the performance of new talents coming in cinema and lauded the cast for their talent.

Hareem Farooq confessed how people and the cinemagoers wanted to see new faces and new storylines.

Sanam Saeed said that it was a great experience to work in such a movie which was definitely going to set trends. “The movie depicts the love, fun and care that friends share among each other in a very simple and relatable manner,” she said.

Shaz Khan said that it was not important for him to play the lead role, rather he focused on quality work. He shared with everyone how he immediately said, ‘yes’ to the role when it was offered to him by Jabbar.
