Ministry of Science and Technology appointed 1,203 people since 2013

ISLAMABAD: Federal Law and Justice Minister Zahd Hamid on Wednesday told the Senate that a total 1,203 persons were appointed in the Ministry of Science and Technology and its attached departments since 2103.

Replaying to a question on behalf of the science and technologyminister, he said that a total 987 persons were appointed on merit while 93 from Punjab, 57 from Sindh, 12 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 19 from Balochistan, 5 from Azad Jammu Kashmir, 27 from the federal capital and three from FATA were appointed on quota basis.

Replaying to a supplementary question, the minister said at present a total of 5,683 employees were working in ZaraiTaraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) on regular basis.
