HYDERABAD: The people of Bagri community have complained that some influential land grabbers were trying to eject them from their land. Bagris live in a village near river Phuleli in the area of Husri.
Bagris, a minority community, held a protest demonstration in front of press club on Wednesday. They told that a group of land grabbers of the area was trying to grab their houses and properties. Intruders force-enter their homes, abuse their women and threatened to leave homes or face dire consequences.
Bagris told media that on their petition, the Additional Session Judge Hyderabad had issued orders twice on Nov. 11 and Nov. 22 respectively to Husri police to act against the culprits and provide protection to the Bagris, but the criminals had continued attacking their homes.
Although, police had arrested few of them but later set all free, they said adding that police was not ready to file their FIR. They fear attack every moment and have locked their children, women and elders inside homes they said and demanded protection for them and action against the grabbers.
