IG Sindh likely to be replaced soon

KARACHI: The chief minister, Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah has finally got his favorite officer as Chief Secretary of the province, replacing the older one who served with former chief minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah. According to sources, the CM Sindh had expressed his desire to Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif to change the chief secretary and bring the desired one while receiving the premier a day before. The chief minister also introduced a senior officer of BS-21 Rizwan Memon, said to be in Good Books, with the prime minister

In this regard, the Cabinet Division has issued a notification that reads as: “Rizman Memon, a BS-21 officer of Pakistan Administrative Service (PAS) presently posted as Senior Member Board of Revenue, Government of Sindh is transferred and posted as Chief Secretary, Government of Sindh with immediate effect and until further orders”. Sources also revealed that the Chief Minister Sindh is also not happy with the performance of Inspector General of Police (IGP) A D Khowaja. “The CM also conveyed his desire to replace AD Khowaja and post Chairman Enquiries and Anti Corruption Ghulam Qadir Thebo as the new IGP”, sources added.
