FBR to probe into tax evasion allegations against Khan

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has initiated an investigation into the ‘tax evasion’ allegations made against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) Chairman Imran Khan.

In response to Supreme Court’s (SC) notice, the revenue board submitted the reply revealing that a probe has been started into HanifAbbasi’s allegations of tax evasion against the PTI chairman.

The FBR warned of strict actions in case any contradiction was found in Khan’s tax returns and further said that an investigationwas also launched into the off-shore companies listed in the Panama leaks and a notice has also been sent Khan in this regard.
