ISLAMABAD: The court has awarded life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 100,000 to a man who was proven guilty as “a cruel father who raped his own daughter”.

The District and Sessions Judge Islamabad, Sohail Ikram, gave the verdict of the case after hearing the arguments of the both sides on the basis of video evidence and other witnesses presented by the victim girl.

The case No 273 was registered at Police Station Koral in last July under the Article 376 of the Penal Code.

The applicant told the court that her father Dilpazeer, who was a police employee had been raping her for four years. During that period the culprit used to threaten the girl. The police, during the course of the investigation made the video of the father raping his own daughter and presented the same in the court of law.

The police also investigated from the neighbours who told them that the accused was a beast and he must be awarded capital punishment for the heinous crime that he had committed.

The girl exposed the rape story after the passage of some time. The sources in the court told this scribe the girl after getting married had submitted an affidavit in the court that she had forgiven her father but the court did not accept her plea by saying that if this time the accused would be excused, then this cancer of moral stigma could prevail in the society.

The court gave the decision even though the victim had pardoned the wrongdoer.
