QUETTA: At least eight people including a woman and three children suffered burn injuries in two separate gas leakage blasts took place in Nawan Killi and Pashtoonabad localities of the provincial capital, respectively,on Friday.
Edhi Ambulance sources told APP that the Edhi Ambulance transported injured to Bolan Medical Complex (BMC) from Nawan Killi. “Gas filled in the kitchen of a house in Nawan Killi due to leakage from the gas pipeline and the blast took place when a woman of the family turn on gas stove, leaving the five people including women and three children injured,” they said, adding that soon after receiving information, Edhi Ambulances rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to BMC.
According to doctors at BMC, the condition of the woman was critical as most part of her body has received serious burn wounds.
Another gas leakage incident happened in Pashtoonabad area of the metropolis which left three persons injured.
The same situation was reported there as the gas had filled the room and explosion occurred when the family tried to turn on the stove. The injured were taken to BMC Hospital.
The hospital sources said that the injured were being provided with all available medical treatment at Burn Ward of BMC Quetta.
