LAHORE: The Punjab government will soon launch a campaign to eradicate corruption by including more departments in the Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme. This was disclosed by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Dr Umar Saif while talking to a group of media persons here on Friday. He said that a real time data would be established in the existing Call Centre of the PITB by linking it with social media websites such as Twitter and Facebook for prompt action and smooth provision of services. Dr Umar, who is also vice chancellor of the Information Technology University (ITU), said the PITB’s Citizen Feedback Monitoring Programme receives 12,000 to 15,000 citizen entries on a daily basis and the department has so far approached 11.73 million citizens to evaluate service performance of 22 different services including Police, Rescue 1122, hospitals, LDA to name a few.
