Three die, dozens injure in road accident

SHIKARPUR: Three passengers, from Khanpur town, died while a dozen passengers received severe wounds when their Suzuki-pickup went out of control and overturned at National Highway at Bhiria City of Naushehro Feroze district whilst traveling for Shikarpur, after visiting the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar [RA].

According to reports, three passengers identified as Zahoor Arain, a primary school teacher, Imran Shaikh, 25, died on the spot while the uncle of the deceased Imran Shaikh, named Bahadur Shaikh succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital during treatment.

Those injured were identified as Abdul Sattar Arain, an uncle, and three sons, named Ameer Hamza, Hafiz Haziya and Abdul Manan Arain, of deceased Zahoor Arain, two sons of deceased Imran Shaikh, named Sajjid and Aamir Shaikh, while others were Ibrahim Arain, Babar Ali Arain, Syed Muhammad Ilyas Shah, Asghar Shah and two real brothers Ghulam Fareed and Usama Arain. Rescue teams, instantly, transported the bodies and injured to Bhiria City hospital and injured referred to Nawabshah Hospital after providing medical treatment at Bhiria city hospital while dead bodies handed over to their families after conducting necessary formalities. The condition of the injured was reported out of danger and they have been referred to Sukkur Hospital for further medical treatment.

The funeral prayers of the deceased were offered at Khanpur Town of Shikarpur district late in the evening and laid to rest at their ancestral graveyards at Khanpur.

It is worthwhile to mention here that the residents of Khanpur town of Shikarpur district had made a plan to visit the shrine of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar [RA] taking the benefit Eidul Fitr holidays and hired a Suzuki-pickup when and awful incident took place.
