General Qamar Javed Bajwa appointed new army chief

ISLAMABAD: Lieutenant General Qamar Javed Bajwa was appointed as the new Chief of Army Staff on Saturday, a local news channel reported.

Bajwais to replace the former army chief – General Raheel Sharif – who will retire on November 29. Furthermore, General Zubair Hayat has been appointed as the new Chairman Joint Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC).
