Where cosmetics and makeup fail, skin treatments take the lead

Lahore can be shamelessly saturated with restaurants, cafes or designer boutiques, springing up at every nook and corner, and locals will still want more. In current times, where there’s a fine mix of foodies and fitness addicts among our circles, competition is less, or shall we say, awareness is less, when it comes to skincare regimens and treatments.

A majority of people are reluctant in getting skin treatments, liposuctions, Botox, scar removal surgeries, bone reconstructions, done as they fear worrisome side effects or poor results. Despite a few credible hair, body and skin clinics in the city, clients are few. Why?

“There should be a first time for anybody. Good results are bound to keep one coming back. I ensure that good packages are given to all so even ladies on pocket money can afford to come and get their treatments done,” Dr Tauqir Ahmad, who is part of the both credible and incredible team at Signature Skincare says, while talking exclusively to Daily Times.

Dr Tauqir Ahmad, who has been a veteran in the skincare industry, has studied abroad and practised in London for years. He stresses upon the need for every individual and not just women to make sure that their hair, body and skin is healthy and they take supplements and regular treatments to maintain glow and appeal.

“I feel like slowly and gradually, awareness regarding skincare procedures is taking place as I see a lot of people coming in enquiring about the processes, the kind of treatments and their charges. Our team offers skin rejuvenation, skin lightening and pigmentation, acne scar removals and medicated facials. They are pain-free, come in a variety of cost packages and are durable if a person comes consistently every three months,” he says.

The accomplished and immensely talented doctor spoke at length about how confidence in one’s doctor is important for a person to undergo any treatment. “For that, it is up to the doctor as to how he/she explains the procedures to the client and then deliver the promised result,” he says.

On meeting the rest of the team at Signature Skincare, on finds out that even brides-to-be come in, seeking medicated facials and laser treatments prior to their big day.

‘As much as salon facials and skin treatments are popular among women, there’s only so much that they can do to keep your skin glowing and looking bright. With medicated facials and skin rejuvenations, the process is skin deep and lasts longer and is much healthier as well,’ Dr Ahmad says

“As much as salon facials and skin treatments are popular among women, there’s only so much that they can do to keep your skin glowing and looking bright. With medicated facials and skin rejuvenations, the process is skin deep and lasts longer and is much healthier as well,” Dr Ahmad says.

From the ones we tried personally, these facials require less time and more durability. The team makes you undergo a skin analysis test, where they explain to you how ruined or even how healthy your skin is and then they recommend what you should be getting done.

“A person needs to be in professional hands and among experts to place their hair, skin or body in someone’s hands where the factor of trust and confidence is there,” he says.

Dr Ahmad revealed how renowned celebrities were some of his most regular clients but kept their privacy intact when we excitedly asked him who they were.

Nestled in Phase 5, DHA, the team specialises in aesthetics and cosmetology and offer complete surgical and non-surgical treatments for skin, hair, body and face.
