ISLAMABAD: Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, on Saturday, said that the Prime Minister’s (PM) decision of appointing General Qamar Bajwa as Chief of Army Chief (COAS) was wise.
In a statement, the minister said that Nawaz selected General Raheel Sharif as COAS, who effectively implemented the PM’s plans for war against terrorism by undertaking Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Karachi operation and National Action Plan. Gen Bajwa, she hoped, would ensure continuation of these policies.
She added by saying that today’s decision was a sign of the strength of the institutions.
