Opposition observes Black Day in Bara

Author: Ahmad Nabi

Like other parts of the country, Black Day was observed against the incumbent government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) here in Bara on Thursday.

In this connection, under the banner of Pakistan Awami Inqelabi League (PAIL) a protest rally was organized in Bara Bazaar that was attended by a number of the party workers, besides the general public.

The protesters were holding placards and banners inscribed with slogans in favor of their demand and were chanted slogans like “go selected go’, ‘go incompetent go’.

Speaking on the occasion, Pakistan Awami Inqelabi League chief Attaullah Afridi said that all the democratic forces of the country commemorated Black Day to express their resent over false mandate granted to the PTI and as a result Prime Minister Imran Khan was imposed on the country.

“We will never permit anyone to derail democracy and we categorically condemn the act of stealing of people mandate”, he remarked.

He maintained that democracy had been restored in the country by rendering matchless sacrifices and PAIL beside other democratic parties would leave no stone unturned to work for its persistence.
