Rwenzururu kingdom’s attack on patrolling forces kills 55

KAMPALA: A separatist militia – linked to a tribal king – fought with security forces in western Uganda on Sunday.

Police spokesman Andrew Felix Kaweesi said that At least 55 people were killed in the fierce fighting. 14 police officers and 41 militants were killed in the clash in Kasese town, when fighters linked to the royal guard of the Rwenzururu kingdom attacked patrolling security forces.
