LGS dominate Little Master Chess Tournament

LAHORE: Lahore Grammar School (LGS) dominated the Little Master Chess Tournament, which was contested in under-13 and under-17 categories among more than 100 kids of 14 schools of the city at Laurelbank Public School (LPC) Alhamra Town Campus here. In under-13 category, all the three top positions were won by LGS: Adil Irfan won first, Adil Rehan second and Abdul Rehman third. In under-17 category, M Maheen Mughal of LGS won the first position while Munir Ahmad of Nusrat Jahan Boys College finished second and Mehak Gul of Lahore Garrison School earned third spot. Secretary Sports Punjab Nayyar Iqbal was the chief guest at the concluding ceremony while Punjab Chess Association (PCA) President Hanif Qureshi, Managing Director LPS Dr Salma Mian and Director Finance LPS Imran Mian were guests of honour and awarded prizes among the winners.
