LAHORE: Students at the Lahore Grammar School (LGS) Gulberg branch exhibited their talent during the first-ever fashion show titled ‘Panache 2016’ on Saturday. Renowned fashion designer and photographer Khawar Riaz, famous models Zoya Nasir, Maham Amjad and Bilal Butt were jury members, where 26 teams from different educational institutions put up a grand show exhibiting dresses according to latest fashion trends. Educational institutions, including LGS, NCA, Beaconhouse National University (BNU) and Beaconhouse School participated in the competition. Students showcased their talent according to three themes, including ‘Jazz it up’, ‘accessorise’ and ‘out of character’. Talking to Daily Times, Asma Zoeed, head of Lahore Grammar School Gulberg branch, said the event was aimed at polishing the hidden talent of students in fashion and dress designing. She was of the view that several students wanted to be fashion designer or dress designers, but they were not being properly guided. “The event provided students such an atmosphere that it would help them understanding how fashion shows were conducted,” she said.
