HYDERABAD: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)’s Sindh Information Secretary and former senator Ajiz Dhamra has defended the Sindh Assembly for passing the bill against forced conversion of the religion.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, he said that the assembly has right to make any law and the bill in question was tabled by a member of opposition in the assembly, which was passed unanimously, which meant not a single member opposed it. However he said those, who are opposing the law, have also right to do so.

Dhamra criticised the federal government for not giving representation to small provinces in around 62 corporations. Sindh government has written a letter to the Federal Government, requesting for giving due representation to Sindh and other provinces as well, he said. He was critical of judicial decision about keeping advisors away from cabinet adding that advisors exist in Federal Government such as Advisor like Sartaj Aziz, Jam Mashooq and Humayoon Khan were attending both Cabinet and National Assembly sessions.

Other PPP leaders, Irfan Gul Magsi, Sagheer Qureshi, Roshan Solangi, Ahsan Abro were also present in the nes conference. He announced that the mega event of PPP’s founding day will be held in Lahore. In first week of December, Bilawal will appoint party’s new bodies at provincial, district and tehsil levels in Punjab. He also told that Bilawal Bhutto was going to be the next leader of the opposition, which will put current Lahore based ruler of N-league in danger.

He demanded of the government to accept four points given by Bilawal Bhutto and said that PPP will start movement against Nawaz government from Dec 27 with all opposition parties.
