LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday congratulated the newly-appointed Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on taking charge of the Pakistan Army.
Shahbaz – in a statement – expressed best wishes for Bajwa and paid tribute to outgoing COAS General Raheel Sharif and lauded his role in defending the country.
“General Raheel Sharif played a vital role for establishing peace in the country and entire nation is proud of him,” the chief minister said.
