LAHORE: The longstanding issue of Jammu and Kashmir will be resolved in the tenure of newly appointed chief of army staff, said Pakistan National Reforms Movement (PNR) Chairman Brigadier (r) Nadir Mir.

Talking to Daily Time on Tuesday, Nadir Mir congratulated the new army chief for assuming his office, and added that General Qamar Javed Bajwa is highly professional defence of Pakistan will become stronger under his command.

The PNRM chairman said Gen Bajwa would ‘properly’ respond to Indian aggression or border violation just like what former chief of army staff did during his three-year tenure.

Pakistan, he said, was facing a wave of terrorism and the Pakistan Army could eradicate it through the corporation of the people by implementing the National Action Plan (NAP). He added that relations between Pakistan and India could not improve unless the issue of Kashmir was not resolved.

The PNRM is one of the many national think tank organisations in country having a keen eye on defence matters.
