Before creation of Pakistan, our forefathers were active enough to impart political wisdom to the masses and had never hesitated to raise voice for the rights of poor segments of society. It is because of the Awami National Party (ANP) leaders that draconian law Frontier Crime Regulation (FCR) was abolished and the ex-tribal region was merged in mainstream.
These views were expressed by provincial chief of ANP, Aimal Wali Khan while addressing to a huge public gathering in Kando Khel village of Landi Kotal on Friday afternoon.
He said that great Bacha Khan granted political sense to the people and were made able to seek their all political and basic rights.
The British rule had imposed black law, FCR in the area to extend their rule but ironically after Pakistan came into being, the same brutal law was let to continue but with the effort of the dynamic leadership of ANP from Chitral to Waziristan all Pakhtuns were united.
“We have won all rights for the Pakhtuns that we promised in our manifesto like changing of name of the province, electricity, gas royalty, provincial autonomy etc. and will never hesitate to work for the betterment of them”, he argued.
He came hard on government and said it black mail the opposition on the pretext of accountability but the leadership of ANP would be blackmailed because there was not a single case of corruption against them.
Provincial general sectary of ANP, Sardar Hussain Babuk while addressing on the occasion said that in last decade militants wanted to turned the Pakhtun Region into graveyard but they stood stern in front of them and rendered matchless sacrifices for sake of their motherland.
He mainlined that anti-people policies of government at Torkham border had made thousands of Pakhtuns jobless. He stressed upon the incumbent government that instead of constructing of 50 lacs houses, compensate the tribesmen who had lost everything in the militancy. ANP ticket holder candidate for PK-105,Shah Hussain Shinwari, ANP local leaders Imran Afridi,Saida Jan Afridi and others also spoke on the occasion.
