Pakistan’s professional Mix Martial Arts (MMA) fighter, Haider Farman Dubir, is set to combat Filipino Jomar Paac in Bahrain on Friday.
Hailing from Hunza, Haider has represented Pakistan in three events, winning two of them.
‘The Giant’ looks to better his record by recording his career’s forth win and simultaneously dent Paac’s unbeaten run.
In January, Haider won back to back ‘360 Fight Night – War’ and ‘Full Metal Dojo 8 – Return of the Mack’ to register his career’s only wins so far.
Haider, who trains at Fight Fortress in Islamabad, also possesses a Muay Thai win at an apex level under his belt. He is also a recipient of a gold medal in 60KG category at 2016 Pakistan Grappling Challenge-4 held in Lahore.
MMA is gaining popularity in the country despite the lack of resources. However, the scarcity has not deterred Haider from his goals. He aims to defeat Paac and leave a mark at the world stage.
