RAWALPINDI: Brutality reached its peak when the police were caught tearing off the clothes of various women during a raid on what was alleged to be a gambling den. This gambling den was at a house located in Rawalpindi’s Banni area. Their actions were captured by a closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, dated Sunday.
In the video, Banni police officers are shown breaking into the house and beating the women present there. They tore off their clothes during the fighting and are then seen dragging the people in the house to the street outside.
The incident did not go unnoticed by the neighborhood, where locals appealed to the Punjab Chief Minister, Usman Buzdar, to deal with this extreme case of police brutality.
