LAHORE: Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said on Friday that India’s provocations and shelling on the border and the Line of Control (LoC) could plunge the entire region into a war – which would not be confined to any ‘limited’ area.
According to a statement, he was addressing a Friday congregation in Dir where the JI chief said that the Muslims were being massacred like fodder in Kashmir, Palestine, Burma and many other areas but the United Nations (UN) and the world community was a silent spectator.
He said that peace could not be established in the region in the presence of the Kashmir issue and deplored the rulers’ efforts to draw international attention towards the Indian aggression.
He said that the Indian troops in held Kashmir were busy in the genocide of innocent Kashmiris and the common citizens were not allowed to offer Friday prayers. He said it was the responsibility of the international community to take notice of this situation.
