After meeting with the family of former Punjab minister, Shehbaz said Rana Sanaullah is not being given water and food during the judicial remand. He demanded medical facilities for the PML-N leader, adding that Imran Khan will be responsible if anything happened to Rana Sanaullah. “Rana Sanaullah’s wife told me that his eyesight is being affected,” he said, adding that even a common prisoner is not deprived of basic facilities.
Shehbaz Sharif also lashed out at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insf (PTI) government over denying the family of Rana Sanaullah permission to meet him in jail. He questioned if this is the State of Madina the prime minister brags about. “Rana Sanaullah’s wife kept standing outside the prison but she was not allowed to meet her husband,” he lamented.
The PML-N president said everyone knows that case against Rana Sanaullah is fake and baseless. He said the whole party stands behind him at this crucial time. He said Imran Khan after taking oath as prime minister started calling the opposition members thieves and liars, adding that the situation would have been much better if he had tried to solve the national issues in past 11 months of his rule. “Today no one is eager to invest in Pakistan due to the prevailing economic crisis,” he said, that Pakistan’s currency has been devalued after ‘instructions’ from the IMF.
Shehbaz alleged that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sister Aleema Khan shifted her properties to foreign countries, and questioned that whether bringing properties to the country or moving those outside is a crime.
Responding to a question, he said his elder brother and son are in jail and that the whole agenda of the government is against PML-N. He said the Rehbar Committee will decide about the protest plan of the opposition.
Speaking on the occasion, PML-N Senior Vice President Shahid Khaqan Abbasi termed cases against Rana Sanaullah fake. He said Rana Sanaullah faced dictatorship of Ziaul Haq and Pervez Musharraf in the past. “He will also face dictatorship of Imran Khan know,” he added.
