KFC in Okara sealed for serving maggot-filled fried chicken

Author: Staff Report

The food authorities in Okara have sealed an outlet of an international fast food restaurant chain “KFC” for reportedly serving maggot-filled fried chicken to its customers.

According to details, a customer filed a complaint with the authorities, stating that he had ordered fried chicken at a KFC Okara branch and noticed that it was filled with maggots. The customer told Daily Times on the condition of anonymity that he occasionally ordered fried chicken and burgers from the restaurant, and it was for the first time he had had this experience. “The worst part is that I had eaten more than half of the chicken when I saw the maggots that had ‘feasted’ on my lunch,” the customer said. “The chicken tasted a bit odd when I started eating, and I thought they must have changed some ingredient, added extra vinegar or something. I was half way done with my fried chicken when I realised that the ‘extra ingredient’ was actually maggots. When I opened up my chicken piece, it was full of maggots.”

The customer said the food authorities were informed regarding the incident, who, after initial investigation, sealed the Okara branch of the KFC. “It was pretty awkward. I was angry and disgusted.”
