Actor and singer Ali Zafar presented evidence in a five-hour session in court on Monday explaining how he was targeted by Meesha Shafi with false, malicious and malafide intentions at the cusp of his performance with a multinational beverage company.

Earlier, Rizwan Raees who has been both Ali Zafar’s and Meesha Shafi’s manager, testified in court that Shafi tried to threaten and blackmail Zafar to pull out of a hefty multinational beverage company contract.

“Meesha not only blackmailed Ali but also the multinational beverage company to extort money and drop Ali Zafar from the recording. However, Ali refused to be threatened or blackmailed,” he said.

Zafar in court confirmed this saying, “The message I received from Meesha through my agent Rizwan was to step aside from the project or I will suffer. She said that if I don’t leave the project, she will publicly accuse me of harassment and furthermore, she would not be alone. She would have the #MeToo movement behind her, as well as ‘other girls’, the press and people’s sympathies and I should be wary of how powerful the Me Too Movement has become and no one has as yet been able to survive an accusation. So just step aside”.

Earlier, Zafar caught up with the fan who shot to fame for his banter and critic of the Pakistani cricket team’s controversial ‘sheesha night’ before the all crucial Pakistan versus India match. Zafar met the hilarious Momin Saqib and took revenge for his bashing of the men in green.

In a hilarious Tweet, Zafar feeds him the very pizza and burger that he accused the team of eating before the match and not bothering about their fitness regimen.
