LAHORE: The Pakistan-India Business Council (PIBC) has lauded Pakistan’s participation in Heart of Asia conference in Amritsar city of India.

PIBC Chairman Noor Kasuri said on Sunday that Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz’s participation in the Heart of Asia conference is a step in the right direction.

“This step would have far reaching impacts on peace and stability’s promotion in the region,” he said – as both the countries would have to open doors of dialogues and cooperation with each other to find out solutions of their issues.

The PIBC chairman further said that South Asian countries are facing the challenges of poverty, illiteracy, unemployment, hunger, disease and terror – which can only be countered only via collective efforts.

Kasuri said that the world has become a global village and no one can survive in isolation and added that the PIBC has always been a strong supporter of resolving issues through dialogue.
