Author: Daily Times

Sir: Pakistan is facing numerous of environmental threats, among which, soil erosion seems to be the worst. Soil erosion implies loss of surface level soil which takes away the rich soil through moving water and wind. As a result of deforestation in the northern areas, soil erosion is taking place at alarming rate.

This is a serious environmental menace that needs urgent attention. The concerned authorities should take solid steps to resolve the matter so that Pakistan’s only way of earning – agriculture is sustained properly.
