ISLAMABAD: The Institution of Engineers Pakistan’s (IEP) Rawalpindi-Islamabad Center has scheduled a seminar on laboratory’s accreditation of consumers’ products, on Saturday.

The seminar aims to create awareness about quality of products and services through laboratories’ official accreditation.

According to the experts, demand for quality product and services which are certified through an independent 3rd party which should also be internationally recognized through an accreditation system, has become an inescapable requirement.

The test reports and certificates issued by the Accredited Conformity Assessment Bodies have the global acceptability for all the stockholders involved in the International Trade.

Thus accreditation has become an essential requirement for ensuring consumer confidence and enhancing International trade. The seminar is a continuation of professional development program, being arranged on regular basis for capacity-building of the engineering community and creating public awareness about the relevant topics.

The key-note speaker at the seminar will be Engr. Najamuddin who is former Director General of Pakistan’s National Accreditation Council.
