KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) granted interim pre-arrest bail to former Sindh small industries managing director (MD) Abdul Dhamra till December 13 and restrained National Accountability Bureau (NAB) from arresting him.
NAB listed Dhamra in an inquiry for illegal auction of commercial bungalows and plots in regional offices of Larkana, Sukkur and Hyderabad. Division Bench of SHC was informed by NAB that the commercial bungalows of regional office Larkana have been auctioned unlawfully.
Dhamra, in a petition, asked for pre-arrest bail saying that he had nothing to do with any crime. He informed the court that the charges against him were baseless and an arrest by the NAB was a cause of worry for him.
Upon that, a division bench approved his interim pre-arrest bail against a surety bond of Rs 750,000 and directed him to submit his original passport in the court.
