HEC approves regularization of agriculture engineering programs of KCAET

Pakistan Engineering Council (HEC) Islamabad has approved the regularization of Agricultural Engineering Program of Agricultural College of Khairpur for intake batches of 2014, 2015 and allowed the intake admission from fall 2018 and onwards, issued a statement by the PRO of the Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology on Monday.

According to Public Relations officer of the KCAET College, appeal of Khairpur College to regularize the intake batches Agricultural Engineering Program of 2014, 2015 and to allow intake admission from fall 2018 and onwards approved in the Pakistan Engineering Body in its 34th meeting held on May 02, 2019 under the agenda item 15 (11) in which the house approved the regularization of Agricultural Engineering Program notification issued by Engineer, Muhammad Ansar Deputy registrar of Pakistan Engineering Council.

He said that Khairpur College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology ( KCAET) under the leadership of Vice Chancellor of the Sindh Agriculture University of Tandojam, Dr. Mujeeb -U-Ddin Sahari Memon and principal Dr, Mohammad Ibrahim Keerio is providing all adequate modern facilities to the KCAET students in the college.

He said that KCAET College has been imparting quality education to the students focusing on research-based education having modern facilities of agricultural engineering in the KCAET College.

He said that the Pakistan Engineering Council team on various occasion visited the college inspect and monitor the research and academics activities as well as the facilities provided by the KCAET college to its students and academics as per rule of Pakistan Engineering Council.

The Principal of the KCAET College has said that he always believed in focusing on research-based education and for imparting quality education to students in the college says PRO KCAET.

VC SALU reviews campuses related issues-A review meeting on Campuses was held at Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Parveen Sha on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Parveen Shah said, Shahdadkot and Ghotki Campuses are disseminating higher education to the students of the remote areas at their doorstep. She said, Higher Education Commission, Islamabad earmarked financial support for the establishment of the campuses.

She said, it is the sole responsibility of the Directors of Campuses to manage their administrative and financial affairs efficiently. Dr. Shah appreciated the role of Directors of both campuses.

During the review meeting, it was resolved that remaining renovation and face lifting work will be expedited before the completion of Summer Vacations. Administrative Officer (Buildings) was directed to carry out the work on top priority basis. The scheme for Solar Project will be prepared to energize the both campuses and other allied facilities will also be provided to the students on top priority basis.

Prof. Dr. Syed Asif Ali Shah, Director, Shahdadkot Campus, Prof. Dr. Maqsood Zia Shah, Director Ghotki Campus, Prof. Dr. Taj Muhammad Lashari, Director Media & Public Relations, Mr. Muhammad Hassan Halipoto, Director Finance and Planning & Development and Syed Munir Shah Rashdi, I.T Manager attended the meeting.

The Spokesperson of Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur has clarified that on the directives of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Parveen Shah, a Talks Committee has been constituted to resolve the geniune problems of the protesting employees of the University.

The Committee has convened several consecutive meetings with the representatives of the Employees Welfare Association (EWA). The University administration has assured office bearers of EWA that their genuine demands will be accepted. As result, the offices bearers of EWA have shown trust and confidence on the University administration. They assured that after resolution of their demands, they will call off the ongoing strike on Tuesday next week.

Meanwhile, University administration has appealed the Honorable Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah to release special bailout package for University so the financial deficit could be controlled.

Six M.Phil seminars held at SALU Khairpur-The Six M. Phil Seminars were held in the Department of Teacher Education, Shah Abdul Latif University, Khairpur.

Reportedly, Research Scholars Mr. Ayaz Hussain Jafferi, Ms. Taranum Naz, Ms. Raheela Shaikh, Ms. Raheela Kanwal Abro, Mr. Zubair Ahmed Memon and Mr. Zameer Hussain Bhayo delivered their M. Phil Seminars under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Jam Muhammad Zafar and Dr. Muhammad Tarique Bhatti.

Prof. Dr. Imdad Hussain Sahito, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences presided over the seminars and declared them successful. A large number of scholars and students attended the seminars.
