Campaigning to nab tax defaulting vehicles from Monday: Chawla

Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation & Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs Mukesh Kumar Chawla has said that the Sindh Excise and Taxation Department is going to launch Road Checking Campaign to nab tax defaulting vehicles from June 24 (Monday) and it will continue till June 27 across the province. In a statement issued here on Sunday, Mukesh Kumar Chawla advised the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to deposit their due taxes at earliest to avoid any untoward situation during Road Checking Campaign. He said, ‘ A number of teams have been constituted for Road Checking Campaign and they have been directed to take action against tax defaulting vehicles, because no one is above the law, asking them to behave with owners/drivers of the vehicles politely and perform their duties honestly ‘. The Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation also asked the officers to take all out efforts to make Road Checking Campaign a success and show better results. He also directed the assigned teams not to disturb the flow of the traffic and check the vehicles one by one. Mukesh Kumar Chawla requested the owners of the tax defaulting vehicles to deposit their due taxes at earliest and behave themselves like law abiding citizens.
