Three unidentified bodies found from Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Three unidentified bodies were found from various areas of Rawalpindi on Friday.

According to details, a body was found within Sadar Bironi Police precinct. It was taken to the district hospital. During the initial examination, doctors said that the body had been decomposed beyond recognition. Police are investigating.

Another body of a man was found near Imperial Market within City Police precinct. Police said the victim appeared to be around 45 to 50 years. No papers were found on the body to reveal his identity. The body has been taken to a hospital for post-mortem examination.

The third body was found from Wah Cantonment Police precinct. A passerby spotted the body lying among bushes and informed police. Wah Cantonment Police personnel reached the spot and took the body to a local hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police said that the deceased seemed to be drug addict who might have died from an overdose. They said that the deceased was around 35 years old. No wounds were found on the body. Police are investigating.

Youth drowns: A man drowned in the seasonal nullah in Gujar Khan on Friday.

A motorcyclist Ghulam Nabi was crossing the seasonal nullah along with his friend Faisal. “The motorcycle slipped and both of them fell into the water. They were carried away by the strong currents. Ghulam Nabi drowned, while Faisal was pulled out by passers-by,” rescuers said. Later, Ghulam Nabi’s body was pulled out from the nullah.

Two girls allegedly abducted: Two girls were allegedly abducted from Sadiqabad and Pir Wadhai Police precincts. Nazir, a resident of Sadiqabad, lodged a complaint with the local police, stating that kidnappers had abducted his 17-year-old sister from the local market. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating.

In the second incident, Sohail Ahmed, a resident of Pir Wadhai, lodged a complaint with the local police, stating that kidnappers had abducted his 17-year-old daughter from the local market. He suspected that Yusuf Khan could be behind the kidnapping. Police have registered a case and are investigating.

Thirteen arrested in search operation: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested 13 suspects, including 10 drug peddlers, during search operations on Friday.

Golra Police arrested four suspects identified as Muhammad Owais, Suhaib, Faizan Bashir and Muhammad Waheed. The police party seized 17 bottles of liquor from their possession.

Shalimar Police arrested four accused identified as Zeeshan Raoof, Yasir, Zahid Qureshi and Gulbaran and seized 10 bottles of liquor from their possession. During routine patrolling, police also arrested accused Muhammad Waheed and seized 10 bottles of liquor. Police also arrested Muhammd Umer allegedly involved in various cases of theft.
