Fumigation to be conducted in Rawalpindi schools

RAWALPINDI: The Rawalpindi Education Department has decided to conduct fumigation in schools in the district before the resumption of classes.

Proposals in this regard have been sought from the principals of all the schools. The principals can send applications directly to the Rawalpindi Health Department in this regard.

They can also contact the focal person appointed by Education Department. As many as 990 primary, elementary, high and higher secondary schools were declared dangerous in the perspective of mosquito breeding. Now directives have been issued to the principals of these schools to ensure fumigation and anti-dengue spray is conducted in the precincts and class rooms of respective schools. Separately, the authorities have decided to change the name of Federal Government (FG) Education Institutions located in Islamabad.
