Seven killed, five injured in road mishap

JAMRUD: Seven persons were killed and five others sustained injuries in a road accident here on Tuesday, local sources said.

The sources said that a passenger van collided with trolley in Zaman Kali in Jamrud tehsil, leaving seven persons dead and five others injured.

The sources said that the speedy trolley was on its way to Peshawar from Landikotal. The dead were identified as Rabat Khan, Asaim Khan, Abid Khan, Gul Shad, AbdulRazeq, Amair Khan and Abdul Rehman.

The injured Sanaullah, Abdul Rahim and three other pesons whose identity could not be ascertained were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital Jamrud where they were said to be out of danger after the initial medical treatment.

The bodies were handed over to the families after fulfilling legal formalities.
