The Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P) faces strong internal challenges. Lately, a new group of ‘silent rebels’ has emerged in the party who are unsatisfied with the current leadership. “Instead of being run by ideological leaders, the MQM-Pakistan is under the grip of inexperienced men. This has further widened the gulf between the workers and the leaders,” party sources said.

“Due to Mustafa Kamal and Farooq Sattar, MQM-Pakistan has lost its footing among the general public. After being disappointed by MQM-Pakistan, people are no longer satisfied with the party’s performance. There are also criminal elements still present within the party.”

“MQM-Pakistan leaders also seem to be openly using the policy of nepotism. They hire their relatives on important positions. Many of them are involved in land-grabbing. In order to offset this, the party has now started to lean towards ethnic politics,” sources said.

“Ideological workers are being kept away from the leadership of the party. Therefore, the party is still being defamed in the general public.”

“Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui is busy with his ministry. He is not supervising the party. The party is being controlled by others. That is why ordinary workers are not satisfied with the party, and are looking forward to the return of the old ideological leaders.”

“MQM-Pakistan’s Amir Khan is unhappy with Siddiqui’s performance due to his political inactivity. This political party is going to see serious infighting soon. So its political future looks bleak,” sources said.
