SHIKARPUR: Shikarpur police on Wednesday have claimed to have arrested four terrorists after an early morning encounter that took place in village Qazi Patti, in teshil Khanpur, in the limits of Khanpur Police Station, some 20kms from here.
In a press conference held at SSP Camp Office, SHO Khanpur, Ayub Dogar has said that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, AD Khawaja and Deputy Inspector General Police, Larkana, Abdullah Shaikh had assigned the special task to SSP Shikarpur, Umar Tufail to workout upon mastermind and organizers linked with different militant groups and involved in numerous terrorists activities in Larkana region and were planning to carry out terrorists attacks soon.
Accordingly, police sniffed the presence of terrorists, with modern tactics and effective technology, raided Qazi Patti village and after an encounter arrested four terrorists. Arrested terrorist were identified as Qari Sanaullah aka Molvi Zahoor, a cleric of Madarsa Hussain-Ibne-Ameer Muawiya in Quetta, Rasheed Brohi, Riaz Brohi and Muneer Brohi, he added and claimed to have recovered four TT pistols and a good cache of bullets from their possession.
SHO further said Qari Sanaullah aka Moulvi Zahoor and his facilitator, Riaz Brohi were involved in ghastly blast in Moharram procession, Jacobabad in the year 2015, which claimed 27 lives and left dozens injured. Muneer Brohi and Rasheed Brohi, both were trained facilitators of Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Tehreek Taliban Pakistan of Hafeez Brohi group, he claimed.
Arrested terrorists during interrogation had disclosed to JIT that Qari Sanaullah aka Molvi Zahoor was the main executive and operative of Jacobabad carnage and held two consecutive meetings at his Madrasa in Quetta, first in 2014 and 2nd in 2015. During these meetings they had planned the suicide attack on the Jacobabad procession. The terrorists also disclosed about their camps in Balochistan and about their visits to Afghanistan. The arrested terrorists were kept in an unknown location.
