46 more dengue cases reported in Karachi

At least 46 more dengue fever cases were reported in Karachi city in a week, taking the reported cases to 646 since January 1, 2019. According to the weekly report issued by the Prevention and Control Programme for Dengue in Sindh, as many as 48 new dengue fever cases were detected throughout Sindh in a week, of which 46 were reported in Karachi. In June, a total of 116 dengue positive cases surfaced across the province, of which 109 were reported in Karachi. A total of 689 dengue cases have surfaced in Sindh so far, of which 646 were reported in Karachi. Three deaths have also been reported in Karachi city due to dengue fever this year so far.
