Lahore bound flights divert to Karachi due to dense fog

LAHORE: Heavy fog around Lahore and its adjoining areas prompted the authorities to close regular operations at Allama Iqbal International Airport till 10 am on Friday.

According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), flights scheduled to land in Lahore were diverted to Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport. Overall approximately 20 flights are affected due to the airport closure.

The National Highway Authority (NHA) and Motorway Police (MP) have also suspended Lahore to Pindi Bhattiya section due to zero visibility in the area.
